I was at limewire and got a bunch of songs but I cannot get them into
the itunes program that has all my purchased music. It's like itunes is
trained to know when the music is not purchased. Help please!!!

i think there has to be a upload button somewhere, like window media player. but it is under the name search for media files. if there is no possible way you can uninstall i tunes and re-install it then i think it might ask you for media's folder

I am trying to hook up another computer to an existing DSL line, the computers are two floors away from eachother and im not sure if wireless is the best option. One comp. is personal and private and the other is a shared family comp, if i set up a network can i do it in a way that only shares the DSL line and doesnt share files or programs. any help is much appreciated. Thx.

The way I've done it is, i've connected both PCs to a ADSL router modem. That router modem is connected to the internet. Now none of the PCs are sharng files or programs. I think you have to set up some network settings for that sharing option. So as long as you don't do that… yur PCs won't be sharing anything.

I "upgraded" BearShare and the next thing I knew, it was trying to charge me $7 per month for their service. I'm sad to see them go because it's been great using them for the past 2 years. But their FIRED. Any other great free programs out there which are similar?

Try iTunes. You only pay for what you actually purchase and there is some free content.

I have a database file that is stored in one client/pc. It seems that when I set the file/directory as a shared folder it allows everyone to have access to it. Please help.

If you need to keep sharing the file, then right click the folder (or the file) and go into sharing and security and then click the security tab. There you can decide who will have access to this file.

If you don't see the security tab then click on tools — folder options–view tab–scroll to the bottom and uncheck simple file sharing. Now follow the above directions again and the security tab should show up.

I have a desktop PC and a MacBook connected to the same wireless router. How Can I connect the two for file sharing?

What are seeders?
Torrenting works by sharing files through your computer, you create a torrent and people download from your computer, you are hosting the file. Seeders are people who have already downloaded the file from you and people are downloading from them too. The more seeders, the more people that have the file and are sharing it, the faster the download So if you download a torrent please seed, seeding starts automatically after thhe torrent is done.

What are leechers?
Leechers are people that don’t have the entire file, only parts of it. SO if there are 0 seeders and some leechers, you might never finish the download.
You’re a leecher until the download completes, then you’re a seeder.
